001   Don't be a dick. Nazis, nazi supporters, bigots, homophobes, transphobes, JK Rowling supporters, Harry Potter roleplayers, trump supporters, Israel supporters, etc. are not welcome on my blog.  002   AI is not allowed. If you use AI on your own time, that's fine. You do you. If you use AI for your writing or your images when roleplaying, you can go fuck yourself. This is a creative hobby and AI is theft, not creation.  003   Triggering themes. Triggering themes and mature topics are a thing on this blog. If you don't like that or you believe that just writing about a thing encourages said thing, then you're probably not going to have a good time here. I'm not going to censor myself or shy away from a topic that's deeply entrenched in a character just because you have a problem with it.  004   Have your age / age range stated. I'm in my 30s. I have no desire to write with children or teenagers, especially given the topics that I write. If you're under the age of 21 years old, I more than likely will not follow or interact with you.  005   My banned lists are for my comfort. Every person, character, subject matter, and fandom on my banned list is for my comfort. If you don't agree with me, that is perfectly fine. I'm simply doing what I need to do to feel comfortable.

  006   Strict canon doesn't exist here. I have nothing against people who do adhere strictly to canon. I simply don't because I don't find it fun. All characters will be as close to how they are in canon, personality wise, but I have developed things to make them my own in some way, shape, or form. I'm always down for an AU or to find ways to put them in new and different situations. Some characters I've been writing on and off for years and that development will be clear in my writing and how I approach the characters.  007   Don't rush me. I take things at my own pace. If you haven't received a reply within two weeks and I haven't spoken to you or stated anything publicly, then you can give me a nudge and ask. But if you want me to prioritize you and your reply / replies, you better be paying me. This is a hobby, not a jobby.  008   Drama begone. Out of character drama is not tolerated here. 001   :   cast out.       edie jones is a well known author and podcast host, focusing on discussing religious cults and her own deconstruction of religion and the abuse that she endured. she cares deeply about the work that she does because she wants others who have suffered similarly to know that they are not alone. ( default verse )002   :   the rook with a past.       edie is the junior deputy from far cry 5. she'd been following what she could find of eden's gate online for quite a bit, so when the offer came down for her to be part of the arrest, she agreed. she did not expect it to go to hell in a handbasket in the manner that it did. ( far cry 5 au 1 )003   :   prodigal daughter returns.       edie moved to fall's end after an old friend who helped her right after her escape died. he'd left her a nice parcel of land in the holland valley, so she decided to try and live there. after john seed try to buy the land, she started investigating what was going on with this "project at eden's gate" and wound up being taken by them in the middle of the night. she put up a good fight, taking out a few of the peggies. as a result, she got sent straight to jacob where she was tortured until he ( with joseph's help ) finally hit the right trigger to re-activate the heavy conditioning and religious psychosis that she went through in her past. as a result, she is one of the most loyal members of eden's gate. ( far cry 5 verse 2 )003   :   atom bomb baby.       edie was a member of the in god's eye cult, located in alabama. after going crazy one night and slaughtering a good portion of the cult, she ran off. she eventually managed to calm down and decided to travel the wasteland for a while and see what else was out there. ( fallout verse )

skill - guns.       edie is highly skilled with various guns due to training from childhood. shooting, cleaning, loading, even repairing.
skill - public speaking.       edie is a highly skilled public speaker who knows how to get and hold an entire room of people. this comes from all of the sermons that she had to give after she began having her "visions."
skill - survivalist.       edie is a trained survivalist due to in god's eyes being an anti-government, doomsday prepper, militia kind of cult. she can survive in a lot of situations and has spent weeks out in the wilderness on her own. she can build shelters, find edible plants, hunt, skin animals, fish, build fires, get clean water, cook, etc.about the visions.       the visions started when she was ten years old. it started off as seizures, then dreams. it all comes in bits and pieces, more symbolism than anything else. however, they will become clearer and seem more like dreams if she's under the influence of drugs. this is why she does not take drugs and swears up and down that the visions were just hallucinations.important notes.       something that eden hasn't told anyone outside of psychology professionals is that she was conditioned from a young age to kill. in her cult, everyone was going to be expected to pick up a weapon and fight during the end days, including children. she went through years of physical and psychological conditioning to be able to kill without hesitation. this has left her emotionally unstable at times and she has been known to physically strike out. however, in the last year or so, she's gotten far better about this due to the sheer amount of therapy that she's endured.

eden's parents were never good people. they were vagabonds, always searching for the next adventure. they didn't let a child stop them from living their life. god guided them. god would let them know when they should stop.when eden was five years old, they stopped at a small town in alabama where her parents met some "nice folks." they wound up talking religion and the jones were invited to their revival that week.the group, who went by the name in god's eyes, love bombed them, made the jones feel welcome. when her parents mentioned leaving, eden began to cry. she wanted to stay and have a home for the first time in her life. their leader, a man named paul gold, convinced them to stay for just a little bit longer.the jones family thrived in the cult. they weren't among the most devoted, but they were up there. eden was especially beloved due to her natural musical abilities and her natural charisma.when eden was ten, there was an accident where she fell off the roof of a shed that she wasn't supposed to be on and got injured. she soon had a seizure. when she woke up in the hospital, she told her mom that something bad was going to happen. all of the images were jumbled and weird, but she mentioned fire and screaming. no one believed her, not even father paul.

three days later, a fire broke out at one of the sets of cabins. three people were killed and several more were injured. eden screamed and screamed and said that this was in dreams.father paul realized that eden was having visions and immediately took her under his wing. he began grooming her to take over the cult in his stead and told everyone that she had been "touched by god." that her visions meant that god had chosen them, and her specifically, to lead the new world when the old one was destroyed. eden was turned into their prophet, their sword, their living angel.eden was very deep into the cult until around 16 years old. that was when a new family came to the cult with a boy around her age whose name was rick. he was unhappy with being there and eden was sent to talk him around. they connected and became fast friends. he began telling her what he saw wrong with the "family" and about how he thought it was a cult. she balked at first but she never turned him in. his words started an avalanche effect in her mind.father paul did not like that eden was getting so close to rick. when she admitted to him that she had a crush on rick, he snapped. he became openly possessive of her, then declared that god had said that she was his bride. they were "married" shortly afterwards, much to eden's dismay.

eden endured a lot of abuse, both physical and emotional, at the hands of father paul. they even had a child together that she secretly killed and passed it off as sudden infant death syndrome, although paul said that god had simply called the tiny soul home because the world was too corrupt. sudden she endured in silence but finally had enough when he announced that it was now god's will for men to have multiple wives and that "women" should marry as soon as their periods start.eden snapped. the thought of children being married to men that could be their grandfathers filled her with a soul deep disgust. working with rick and a few others that he said were trustworthy, they planted explosives around the compound, disabled multiple vehicles, put drugs in the dogs' and horses' food so that they would be too sluggish and sleepy to be used, and then set a plan in motion.when paul started in on eden the night that all of their preparations had been made, she put her plan into action. she managed to slit his throat and stab him over thirty times before she finally realized that he was dead. it was then that the explosions started happening, so she fled outside. the fight was bloody and ended with more causalities than was expected, including multiple of the children.eden, now going by edie, never faced any real legal repercussions for what she did. she was just sent to a psychiatric facility for a couple of years due to still being in the grips of religious psychosis. that was when she wrote her first book, visions from god.now edie is a well known cult specialist, author, and podcast host.
